    Professor Yemi Osinbajo served as the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for two consecutive terms, from May 2015 to May 2023. He held the position of Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos State, Nigeria, from 1999 to 2007, leading significant judicial reforms that would become models for other states in the Federation.

    Before his political career, Professor Osinbajo was a Professor of Public law at the University of Lagos, a founding partner of SimmonsCooper, a prominent commercial law firm in Nigeria, and earned the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He served in the Justice Sector of the UN mission in Somalia and was a member of the UN Secretary-General’s committee on Rules on the Conduct and discipline of Peace Keeping forces. He was Ethics advisor to the board of the AFDB, and served as an independent director of CITIBANK Nigeria.

    In public service, Professor Osinbajo played key roles in the formulation and implementation of various government initiatives and policies, notably in the areas of economic reform, social investments, human capital development, digital and creative economy, climate action and energy security in African nations.

    He chaired the National Economic Council comprising governors of all the States of Nigeria, the Inter-Ministerial Energy Transition Implementation Working Group, which was responsible for the development and execution of the Nigeria Energy Transition Plan in 2022. Three National development plans were formulated and implemented under his leadership and he led the successful implementation of Nigeria's Economic Sustainability Plan, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Beyond his tenure in office, Professor Osinbajo remains dedicated to advocating for climate action globally. In 2023, he was appointed as the first Global Advisor to the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) and Board Chair of the Climate Action Platform for Africa (CAP-A). He founded the North East Children’s Trust, for the creation of sustainable learning ecosystems for vulnerable children made orphans by the insurgency in Northeast Nigeria, co-founded Future Perspectives, an organization focused on youth empowerment, founded Climate Positive, an independent climate action not-for-profit, and currently serves on the Board of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation.

    Abby is responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of all Future Perspectives’ strategic initiatives in diverse, multicultural & international environments.

    Her almost twenty-year career is in the international business development & management space. Her passion is in education and has led several educational initiatives to support quality education and gender equality in Sub-Saharan Africa.

    She currently supports a non-profit called 1MT Cares, that provides educational opportunities and empowerment for teachers from the most vulnerable and under resourced communities around the world.

    Yemi support’s Future Perspectives’ strategic direction and partnerships to ensure impact is delivered at scale.

    He is a financial services professional with two decades of experience with a passion for project execution and innovation. Yemi also has certifications in Project Management, Marketing, and Innovation.

    Yemi serves as the Board Chair of 1MT Cares, dedicated to serving the training and professional development of teachers.

  • Policy & Program Development

    Nike is a Private Sector Development Specialist with expertise in Market Systems Approach (M4P). She is a versatile Project Manager and Business Entrepreneur working with international business.

    Her expertise is in Program Strategy Development; Public Policy; Value Chain Analysis; Private Sector Advocacy and Public-Private Dialogue; Public-Private Partnerships (PPP); Capacity Building and Skill Development.

    Nike works with Future Perspectives’ partners to develop successful programs of mutual benefits.

  • Project Management

    Ike is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with 7+ years' experience in diverse industries, including Banking, Higher Education, Non-Profit, and Public Service, solving complex problems and achieving strategic goals.

    She has a track record of successful project and stakeholder management, cross-functional collaborations, ideation, and process improvements with organizations such as HP and UNICEF.

    Ike manages Future Perspectives’ projects and ensures successful delivery and impact.

  • Program Advisor

    Dr. Otoide is the International Education Officer for the Ministry of Education in Ontario and an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Education, York University, Toronto.

    She is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) educator and researcher with a focus on comparative and international education. She is deeply committed to organizations and projects that focus on youth, marginalized communities, and teacher education.

    Dr. Otoide supports Future Perspectives to identify new opportunities through research and analysis, collecting and analyzing feedback, setting objectives, and developing strategies to achieve the objectives of every program.

  • Program Coordinator

    Nelba is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), Member, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria.

    She is proactive, passionate and results driven professional with 19+years comprehensive experience having a strong background utilizing project management skills and strategy development across private and public sectors, non-government and civil society.

    A proven expert with strong strategic, analytical and execution skills with great attention to detail. She possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with very good diplomacy and assertive skills.

    Nelba plans, coordinates, and oversees various programs at Future Perspectives. She is also responsible for ensuring that the programs meet company goals by implementing policies and procedures and activities.
